Check this out: [link removed by moderator; take his word for it]

I can't believe Apple would allow this in the App Store!

The app is called Check MyHottie

Obviously the 40 reviewers were too busy pondering the Google Voice app to notice it.

I posted a pic of this thread.

Until then, I would hope the OP deletes the link.

Edit: And I realize the OP may think he's being helpful posting this as something that shouldn't be in the app store, but this is too much help, IMO.

Edit2: Thanks Dr. Q.

Edit3: Here's a quote from the previous site link that the OP kindly sent me so I could revise my comments: "What’s even more disturbing than the aforementioned hardcore porno images, are the pictures of young children also found within the Check myHottie app. By young, we don’t mean sixteen years old … rather in the five to twelve year old range. To be clear, there are NO nude underage pictures … however, the fact that these children are on display with hardcore pornography, coupled with the fact their images are receiving sexually orientated comments, is absolutely sick and disgusting (even the users of Check myHottie are offended by the images)." So, that's my point about the app and link. They may not have been nude, but we all know the inference being made here. And as stated in other parts of the article, the pics that were shown of the adults were mild in comparison to what is supposedly on the app itself. I wouldn't know or care. My problem is the kids being in the app, clothed or unclothed. That is all. I understand why the OP made the post, but I don't think we need to help advertise it.

Yeah, there's an app for everything that Apple deems objectionable...it's called Safari

Sorry guys... If there are kids on this site, why are they clicking on a thread called "Porn: There's an app for that"? Oh well. Link has been removed by the mods. Sorry.

Impressive it has survived this long without being pulled from the store.

ITT: A bunch of prudes complaining.

EDIT: Downloaded it. It's so slow and ugly. Other than that I see no problem. I guess some people want Apple to drop the banhammer whenever it suits their moral code and not otherwise.

Why is this such a big deal? So what you can see porn on it. You can see porn on Safari too, but I don't hear people saying they hope Safari gets banned.

Ok so porn is the biggest industry in entertainment, and thanks to it we have CD, DVD, HD, BR etc etc yet people are getting their knickers in a twist over a porn app.

The other formats I can understand… but CD?
Just listening to porn isn't quite the same is it? :D

Alot of adults with morals, and a bunch of 13 year olds who don't see what the problem is...

That's my take atleast. :p

I'm no prude either, but the problem with the site that the OP linked to was that it had child porn on it. If you think that's okay, whatever.

I don't think it did. It had a couple of pictures of children's faces.

So Apple changed the rules?

Btw people, there is quite a difference between nudity, and pornography.

I'm 27 and just see nothing wrong with nudity. I was warned when getting the app that it was rated 17+ so I can't see a single thing wrong here. It's exactly how I'd like the store to work but I have a feeling this app slipped through a crack and it'll be gone soon. I hope not though. Even though I've already deleted it, it would be a good sign.

I never said child porn was okay, did I? There's so much porn in the world, it's not worth getting "your knickers in a bunch" over. No amount of rules or legislation is going to stop it. It's like the FCC trying to prevent curse words from going out over the airwaves. Just give it up. Everyone has said or heard almost every curse word in the human language. What's the big deal about hearing it over the fm dial?

To satisfy my curiosity, I downloaded the App... It's stupid. It takes forever to load the images. And there is already an app like this, it's called Hot or Not.

Deleted the app... it was dumb.

If Apple had their poop together they would establish an adult rating for adult content, much like they do for video games. Lot's of money just waiting for a legit route onto the iPhone.

Riiiiiiiiiiight. Wow why don't you just give up on life right now, you seem to have no point in living. "everyone's done everything" according to you, which is complete BS, and if it were true then there'd be no point in living. I think you need to get some standards set in your life, try to be more than an animal. Your age: 15- 25?

Also, I noticed you never said Child Porn WASN'T ok.

So, what, everyone in the same age group shares opinions, morals, intelligence? That's asinine.

And because someone takes a liberal standpoint in regard to censorship you conclude that he might be a pedophile? That's even sillier.

Anyway, is all this child porn talk in regard to the app or the site that was linked to originally? I didn't see it when it was posted and I didn't see any child porn in the app.

Also, if anyone here is familiar with the app Photo Collage, I've always wondered how I've never seen any nudity in it even though everyone free to upload any pic. Every other pic sharing app I've heard of gets bombarded with dicks immediately. How does that app filter them so well?

There was no child porn in the link I posted originally. There was CENSORED regular porn and 3 pictures of kid's faces. I don't call a child's face a pornographic image. However, there is almost no way to know the age of everyone who posts their photos. Some 18 year olds can look younger than they are. I'm just saying.
