I just got the macbook pro literally 2 weeks ago.. and now snow leopard is coming out?!? apple is charging me for 9.95 for shipping&handling ..anyway i can bring in the receipt and get the cd for free?

No. However, you can try to call Apple and see if something can happen, but I don't think so.

Are you brand new to Mac? SL has been announced for over a year...

Honestly if your MBP is brand new SL is well worth the $30 full price, let alone $10.

If you didn't know SL was coming out before you bought the thing, then you don't need to worry about upgrading to it...
