Purchasing MacBook on thursday, the day before Snow Leopards release?

I doubt you'll get it because the release is on Friday, not Thursday. Buy it on Friday or get it through up-to-date promo
Does it have to be Thursday? Friday is when the Apple Stores (or Authorized Resellers) give you drop-in discs... for free.

No. It will probably be in the box on Friday. They won't let you have it for free or before the date of release (Friday) either.
Yeah the apple store is a ways from my house and thursday is the only day I have nothing going on. I can't do it on friday or any time next week.

OP, buy it on Thursday if it's the only day you can, Leopard is enough for you for first days/weeks. Also, if it's your first Mac, you may get disappointed because SL has some bugs of course

Why don't you order the MacBook from the Apple Store on-line on Friday? I assume you will get the SL disks in the box, or at least be able to then get the upgrade for free. (can someone confirm this?)
