Batch Save for Web?

Hey there, hoping you guys can help me a problem. I'm trying to batch process a very simple Open, Save for Web, Close action that I've created to easily turn PDFs into reduced file size JPEGs. For some reason, Save for Web acts as a different beast within the action, and makes running the batch action result in a single file that constantly gets replaced over and over again by the next item being batch processed.

Regardless of what I try in the batch filename override boxes, or however I name the original file used to create the action, I always get the same result.

Any ideas of how to make Save for Web work well in a batch process? Thanks!

I found this on Google and it might help. I always found writing actions to be a bit of pain. Hope this helps

Hi :) Can you provide any more details of your action so that we can troubleshoot?

I regularly use batch save for web actions so may be able to help spot where you're going wrong. Maybe screen grab your settings?

Hi there,
Sorry for the long delay...haven't been able to access my work computer in a while.

Here's a couple screenshots that illustrate the process I'm currently using.

Picture 1: With the Action recording, I'm opening the primary file.
Picture 2: Still recording, Save for Web is configured how I want it.
Picture 3: Saving from Save for Web as original file name.
Picture 4: I've since Closed the primary file and stopped Action recording. Now I've configured the Batch process.

Once I run the process, regardless of whether or not Override Action "Save As..." Command is selected, and regardless of what I name the file during Save for Web, I always get a file that continuously over-writes itself until finished with the action (or I stop it).

Any ideas to how to fix this annoying issue?
