Fifty-seven threads on this, no one knows. With the Leopard launch, Apple gave a rather specific time, no such time has been given.

Yes, I called multiple Apple stores nearby (Bay Area), and they said they will have it first thing in the morning.

There is no specific time mentioned in the PR release as well.

There was an article earlier today that said the 5th Ave store will start selling it at midnight. So yes, stores will have it at opening.

Also, for those of you in the north-west of England, the Trafford Centre store will have it from opening tomorrow too. 🙂

Call your apple store tonight, I called ours and they're going to open about an hour early for the release.

Hi,

I called the Glasgow store last night (Wed) and they confirmed that it is business as usual with no special event or special opening hours. SL will be available any time.

Cheers,
Craig.

Well I doubt this, this could also change in the U.S. stores.

Huh? Why would you doubt it? 😕

I phoned the store personally and spoke to an Apple employee who confirmed that I can pop in any time during normal working hours and pick up a copy of Snow Leopard. She said there was no special event and no special hours. Apple employees don't confirm anything unless authorised to do so!

It just does not make sense that they would not have their normal festivities. Then again, the times they are changin'.

Well I went over there at 1pm today and sure enough it was just a normal day at the Apple store. The sales assistant told me they had some people queueing in the morning but they had no need to as there was plenty of stock.

Hope to upgrade later tonight...🙂
