Will I need recovery disks if i buy snow leopard?

No, but you can't use the program unless the computer you're buying was purchased in June this year or later.

Right now, people are reporting that it will work without Leopard on the drive at all. You should be good, but you might want to wait until Friday when more people know for sure.

One thing that the recovery discs will have that the Snow Leopard disc will not is the iLife suite. If you ever need to install/reinstall it you won't be able to without the recovery discs.
eBay rules require the software disks to be included. eBay doesn't really give a rat's arse though.
Lack of recovery disks can indicate a stolen computer.
