SSD in Powerbook

Hey guys,

I just returned my June '09 MBP. I did that because I am waiting for the coming updates. So now I am back to my Powerbook G4. Im not that big of techie, so I was wondering if I could install a nice SSD in my Powerbook. Would there be significant advantages from doing so, if I can? Have any of done this? I would love to hear from you guys.

what updates?

well aslong as your PowerBook supports SATA connections than sure i dont see why not.

System Profile > Hardware > Serial - ATA if present than yes.

I was under the impression some SSDs (like those in the MacBook Air) used the PATA connectors. I think you should be able to find one for your PowerBook, as all PowerBooks used the Ultra ATA/100 connector.

*EDIT* found one! More of a proof-of-concept than anything, but they do exist!
