Griffin powerduo usb cable question

I am planning on buying a griffin powerduo kit which comes complete with a usb cord, wall charger, and car charger. But I read one review on amazon.com that the usb cord that comes with it isn't able to sync an iphone 3g with a computer (the review only mentions 3g and thats only what I'm concerned with). Anyone else have experience with this usb cord? can it really not be used to sync an iphone 3g in itunes?

I have that kit, and I believe I've used it to sync before, but I'm not 100% positive. It stays in the car, usually.

thanks for the quick response. any one else with experience using it? I bought an apple usb cord but am debating if I should return it and exchange it for the powerduo because I also need a wall charger and car charger. If bought separately, it would cost much more than this kit. But if it doesn't sync, I'll have to buy them all separately

Okay, I'm using it right now. I got curious, and since I had to sync anyway, I brought it from the car.

It works just fine on my 3GS.

nice, thanks. gonna return my usb cord tomorrow and get this one. hopefully they'll take the return even though its already opened
