mac pro 8 core 2.26 back monitor connections

I am presently running a 24 in samsung monitor on the dvi port and i am wondering about the other port the mini display,is there an adapter to convert this port to say dvi also.
Or is this strickly an apple display port

Yes there are adaptors to DVI or VGA. DVI version is part code MB570Z.
