I don't think the Charlatans ever broke up -- they seemed to keep coming out with albums. I always thought of EMF and JJ as crap, though. My college roomate was a BIG fan of Ned's, I prefered Inspiral Carpets, which I guess was really more Manchester and less punk.

I miss Madchester...

The Charlatans are still together, just knocked out a new record I think... as are Jesus Jones... ;)

EMF reformed a couple of years back, but their bass player Zac Foley died after an overdose :( don't know if they're still knocking stuff out.

I'd love to see PWEI reform for a tour, they owe us that... ;) :D

Also the Senseless Things... they make todays 'punk' bands seem totally clueless... the alt scene in the UK was so tight back in the '90's. :D so different to how it is now :(

Senser have also recently reformed as well, with the original members ;) :D

OMG PWEI is great, and i think that cool that the Charlatans are still together, you have to forgive me i live in the states and really dont follow the Euro scene. altho i would give my right eye to go to the Ministry of sound just once to see what it is like. And as far as punk band go today there arent that many good ones around but you might want to check out the Casualties they kinda remind me of The Exploited which i used to listen to alot back in the 80s. also what do you think of the following:
Killing Joke
Alien Sex Fiend
Chris and Cosey.
and lastly The Cassandra Complex?

Cheers :D

I saw them at the Reading Festival in the mid '90's and they were the f**kin' bomb... :D some serious energy on stage! :) atleast the original members have reformed, that girl just couldn't carry Age Of Panic. :p

I've just dug out my old Ned's shirt for the gig... an original 'Kill Your Television' long sleeve... ****** yeah... 5 months away, and I feel like pogo'in already! :p

Blinding! ;) :D

the Neds were hugely underrated... their last album 'Brain Blood Volume' was the best of their career, it's a shame they ran into problems with Sony and then split. :(
