iPod touch What is all this orange stuff on my iPod??

in the little capacity bar below the ipod in itunes, it shows me a bunch of colors, like blue is music, purple is video, etc.
Well there's a huge chunk of something labeled "other". And it's like 873 MB of it.

What is it and HOW DO I GET IT OFF? thanks guys
