Disable Trackpad...!

I am running snow leopard now and i thought that it will fix the problem back in the update of 10.5.6 where i could not disable the trackpad when i had the mouse!!! can some one help me?

i followed these steps (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=652133) but no good and plus some files are not there...must have gotten modified when i updated to snow leopard

having the trackpad on while using my mouse is annoying especially when i amusing my tablet since i tend to put the tablet over the trackpad....!!!

Take a look in the Universal Access preference pane under Keyboard and Mouse.
