Jpg transfer using aftp issue

Just got a new 3gs with 3.0 and so far im in love with it. installed ssh and redsn0w on it without any problems and now im using aftp.

Heres what i want/tried to do:

-transfer hitchhikers.JPG

-to 100APPLE inside the dir where the camera pictures are stored.

-When i do this i can see the number increase in the camera roll in the iphone

-but all i see are the original 8 pictures i took/saved with the iphone

is there a way around this?

PS: i also noticed i can't locate the files i uploaded to my iphone through iTunes. Where-ever can they be?
