Which case do you use for your Macbook Pro?

So I finally sacked up and purchased my NEW MBP 15" Unibody and I have to say I am so glad I got this over the 13......

Now that I have it I have to protect it!!! Which cases are highly reccomended and if you have one do you like it? What are the likes and dislikes????

BTW I saw a thread on this but none that was really that recent 🙂

I personally use the booq vyper sleeve and it protects the laptop like a champ. No probs with it. You just throw it in whatever bag you choose and off you go.
 
I have an Oakley backpack that is padded and made for macbooks it also comes with a neoprene sleeve which is very protective and waterproof its a great backpack and an awesome sleeve but I was curious as to maybe what to use when the laptop is out of the neoprene case how is speck products rater?

I really like it so far. Nice, soft padding inside, snug fit, enough room for AC adapter, cords/cables, etc without being too big. I like it!

this is the best bag imo. I enjoy having my cord, and certain things with me, plus having the padding inside the bag makes sure that nothing gets scratched. I love it.

Ive used thier bags for years. With many diff apple notebooks.

I use a targus bag that doesn't look too much like a laptop bag.

If I had a MBP or PB, I'd keep it in a backpack. That's about it. I dislike those shells, and the neoprene sleeves don't leave any room for accessories.

I agree with you 100% being that this is my favorite computer that I have ever owned I want to treat it like my first born child.

How durable is the aluminum casing on these things? Are they prone to scratching etc? I would like to hear some experiences of what to avoid and things like that. Ever since I have had it I have spent time using it the battery time and the screen to me are the most impressive improvements that Apple has made and everyone that sees my computer is blown away by the design and the look of it 🙂

Not sure why you quoted me. I just said I'd put it in a backpack. No sleeve or anything. I'd probably toss the thing onto my couch, block attacks if necessary, and maybe jump on it. It's a laptop and s*** happens.

It's anodized aluminum. Same durability as an iPod nano 4G. So it's not really scratch prone (unlike my PS3 which looks horrendous) and will take just about anything you throw at it. Unless you throw it (or drop it). That is a surefire way to get a dent. Many MBPs and PBs have dents. I did hear, however, a non-unibody MBP got run over by a car at highway speed and survived.
