Not sure if this is the right forum, but...
I recently installed OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 and then plugged my LG Versa phone into the USB port to charge. I had a WWAN connection icon appear in my menu next to the Bluetooth icon (it looks like the bars of a cell phone signal). It appears as "LG CDMA modem" in my Network list.
I don't plan to use it as a modem, but just putting that out there in case there are any other Versa users on this forum. Regular Leopard didn't do this for me ever.
