I've been using OSX for two years now, and have yet to find a really convenient way to right click on an mp3 file (or batch of them) and instantly see their id3 tags, or change them. Is there a good program or plugin that will integrate these features right into the OS/Finder?

OP, before you write off Jolly Jimmy's suggestion as not answering your question, please do consider his advice. After all, it's Apple's vision to use iTunes for any and all operations on your music files (and thus your MP3s).
If you really do want to do things without iTunes, you could use A Better Finder Rename (http://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFinderRename/), which supports ID3-tags. PicardTagger (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Picard_Download#Mac_OS_X_Universal_Binary_.2810.4.2B.29) is another option. Yet another application you might consider is Path Finder (http://cocoatech.com/) (a Finder replacement tool), which also supports ID3-tags. It's not the Finder itself, but it's probably as close as it'll get you on a Mac.
