Is there any profile in OS X or some other application that let's you check the speeds of your various hard drives?

Just curious... cheers.If you go to "About This Mac" and look at "Hardware/ATA," you'll see a listing of your hard drives. It won't tell you the speeds, but you can get the model/part number of your hard drive and Google it. You should be able to figure out the speeds by doing that...

or go to versiontracker and search for "xbench" to get hard facts about real-world transfer rates.
