I still have a US PS2 that I bought when I lived in the states, plus a bunch of games and two (original sony) memory cards full of game saves.
I also have a European PS3 launch model with PS2 backwards compatibility. Of course this is rather useless to me for the most part, cause all my PS2 games are region-coded NTSC versions.
I am considering (re-)buying some of these games as European PAL versions so I can play them upscaled on the PS3. (Already got Shadow of the Colossus!)
Now my question is: If I get one of those adapter thingies to transfer all my American PS2 game saves to my PS3, would they work with the European versions of those games? Or would I have to start every single game from scratch cause they don't recognize the save files? That would suck, especially with the GTA's...
