One more reason why I prefer Coca Cola over Pepsi :D
The "disgusting" blob that Fred DeNegri's wife says she poured out of his Diet Pepsi can was probably a gutted frog or toad, the Food and Drug Administration said.
DeNegri was grilling in his backyard tiki bar in Ormond Beach, Florida, when he popped open a can of Diet Pepsi, took a big gulp and started gagging, his wife, Amy, said.
He emptied out the can down a sink but something heavy remained inside. His wife took over and shook the can over a paper plate until something resembling "pink linguini" slid out, followed by "dark stuff," Amy DeNegri said.
"It was disgusting," said Amy DeNegri, 55. "And now, what started out as a normal afternoon in our tiki bar has blown up into this crazy thing."
The DeNegris took pictures before calling poison control and the FDA, which showed up the next day to examine the can in question and collect it for lab testing.

Damn, Diet Pepsi is my favourite ****ing drink. My mom and I love it. I would generally like to see what PepsiCo has to say for themselves in regards to this predicament.

I have my doubts about the validity of this, being that a frog would have a very hard time getting through a filter as well as the actual production. Then again, I've poured a drink into a glass before only to find a few saturated bugs floating on the surface, though that was not Pepsi.

Reminds me of when I was little our grocery store was out of Green Giant corn so my Mom bought Libby's and when she opened it up there was a full sized grasshopper inside the can.

Extremely unlikely.
You think they don't have access control or filters?
You think they have a door that goes straight to the outside?
The building should have be at least 2 access controls to get to the manufacturing rooms.
If it's true the other unopened cans would have the same "smell".
Since they don't really use any natural products in most sodas, it's unlikely any natural organisms would get into the product.

Reminds me of an incident here several years ago. A woman claimed to have found a foreign object in her Pepsi can. It got lots of attention in the media. Eventually, she confessed to making it up. She wanted the attention.

I hope this is not a hoax. I had a problem with Coke in the bottles. It looks like something dark and gooey. It looks like sediment. I wrote Coke about the problem. Their response was a waste of my time. This occurred last year. I still drink both Pepsi and Coke I just check out the bottles more closely now.

Probably due to changing the formula from gecko to frog. :)

They'd just surrender to the frog at first sign of hostility.

I'm still sipping my pepsi from this morning. I'd love to have a frog in it. I could use the settlement money. I would have witnesses and pictures.

This kind of thing makes me glad I pour drinks into glasses first (with a slice of lemon :3). Started doing that since I drank an accidentally carbonated milkshake... Haven't drunk a strawberry milkshake since. :o

Sounds like an egg cream or ice cream soda.
I accidentally put a carbon dioxide canister instead of a nitrous oxide canister in our whipped cream maker once....it created whipped cream that had the fizzy, carbonated sensation of soda. Very bizarre.
As for the frog: if real that had to be a serious shocker, the kind of thing that'll make you pour your cans into glasses for years to come. ;)

Here is a video of a beer canning plant. The process for Pepsi is basically the same. The tops of the can are put on AFTER the can is filled, so a small animal that manages to sneak in there (You don't think canning plants have mice and roaches running around??? It's not a circuitboard factory!) could conceivably fall in... or get put in by some prankster.
