I work for a computer hardware reseller, and I am looking to buy a G4 tower to test a few mac products with before I ship to my end user. Anyone know of a way or place to get a barebones tower from?
All I need is the MB and processor, at least 500mhz, maybe a small HDD. I have enough other parts in teh warehouse to do anything else I need. Im just not looking to spend $400 on a tower that will never be used for anything but parts testing.

Any ideas?
Thanks

If you search Ebay you may come up with something. Maybe about $100 for the processor, $100 for the logic board, maybe about the same for power supply. It's that, a complete system for $500-$700, or see if a G3 will meet your needs. 1st generation iMacs are getting pretty cheap. I've seen them going for around $100.

Begs the question of whether you need...

DDR or SDR Ram,

AGP or PCI graphics card,

G3 FSB (the Yikes machine) or G4 FSB,

built-in ATA-33, ATA-66, or ATA-100 bus,

FW400 or FW800.
