iTunes syncs TV Shows alphabetically, not by Least Recent

Hello. I'm trying to add some TV Shows, ripped with Handbrake, to my iPhone 3G. All the shows are properly tagged with MetaX, and so have Season Number, Track Number, Episode Number, the works.

However, when I tell iTunes to sync the 1 Least Recent Unwatched Episode of all TV Shows, it instead syncs the alphabetically sorted first show.

For example, all 12 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 1 are marked as new. When told to Sync the Least Recent Unwatched Episode, Episode 1, Welcome to the Hellmouth should be synced. Instead, Episode 7, Angel is synced.

Anyone have any experience fixing this problem?

I couldn't tell if you dd this, but after you use MetaX, you run have to use get info in iTunes and set the track number there, so it shows up to the left of the episode title in list view. Then it should sync and display correctly.
 
All episodes are displayed correctly in iTunes, complete with Track Numbers. Episodes are still not synced correctly.
