is there a way i can unlock mms on a iphone 3gs?

I am using a 5.1 carrier file and have mms working with no problem, but I am on a family messaging plan through at&t and not the iphone messaging plan, I think that is why I didnt have some of the problems others had, but shouldn't be too hard to wait until the 25th now, although that is technically early fall and not late summer 🙄
