Hello all. I recently purchased a white macbook (within a month) and shortly after was given an old display that a friend received when he bought a mac cube. It's a 15 inch and I have not idea how to (if it's possible) to hook it up to my macbook. Anyone have an answer?

You need an Mini-DVI to DVI adapter. Then you'd the DVI to ADC adapter as well.
You'd be better off buying a new monitor at that price.

If you have the 15" Graphite Studio Display (M7613) it has a DVI, USB, and Power Combo Cable

You would then just need a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter to connect the display's DVI cord to the MacBook which you can buy at Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041912&p_id=4851&seq=1&format=2)
If you have the earlier 15" Blueberry Studio Display

You would then need the Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter which you can also buy at Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041912&p_id=4850&seq=1&format=2")

If you have a later 15" Studio Display in a "crystal clear" enclosure.

then unfortunately you will also require an Apple DVI to ADC Adapter which are over $100.00.

I would then agree that buying a new display is the best option.

If your friend bought the display with the mac cube it appears that the display ports were 1 VGA and 1 ADC

Check out all the links and compare to your display and also look for the Model Number on the Display.
