View Full Version : Can't Group Text Over 10 People?

I just noticed today with the 5.1 hacked carrier file and mms enabled I can't send a group text to more than 10 people. What I mean was I was only able to have 10 contacts listed and I was able to add anymore. Once I turned off mms I was able to add as many as I wanted. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem as well as I did? Thanks in advance for the response.

So no one has attempted to try this?

Actually, I get really irritated. I can't send more than 10 no matter what.

I organize a men's league soccer team, and I use mass texts all the time to notify people about games.

Also, I hate how you select a contact, it brings you back to the main screen, and then you go back and select a contact again. I'd rather have it put a check mark to the contacts I choose so I can do them all at once.

Actually, you can just start typing the contact's name right from the "To" bar without ever clicking the "+" icon. It will bring up a list of contacts in the bottom which are clickable. Just keep typing the names and click to add a contact. No need to switch back and forth between screens...

I regularly texted 17 people as a mass text for a softball team I captained. It was on AT&T, stock iPhone 3gs, no jailbreak.

Perhaps it's your carrier, or signal strength while sending?

Good luck.

I can do it just fine to as many people as I want but that is only with mms disabled I'm wandering if anyone on 3.1 has this issue or anyone with a hacked carrier file does

Lol yeah that does work a lot better and a lot quicker, but no one has still answered my question. With MMS enabled, can you group text more than 10 people at a time?

instead of using irealsms, can you try it with just the stock SMS program and tell me if that works?

I tried it with the stock SMS app and you're right, it doesn't work.
