Does the education discount work with Snow Leopard?

I'm thinking of upgrading and wonder if I can use my education discount towards SL?

It seems SL upgrade is not discounted in the education stores.

No, neither do most employer discounts.

no its not and I am thinking of the family pack which is $50 and even that is not bad. However, why buy something for more when you can get it less?

I called my Edu store where I got leo for 79 bucks and they told me no. Then he scoffed that I asked for an educational discount on 29 bucks (jokingly, but still).

No you can't get a discount on client; I got a discount on server, but people keep telling me I just got lucky. 😱
