OS 9/ Dota problem

I don't know if anyone else here plays Dota Allstars on Warcraft III Battlenet, but I have noticed that, for me at least, Dota seems to freeze on the "waiting for other players" screen if I have OS 9 open. Doese this happen to anyone else, or is it just something with my computer?

I have the same problem with OS 10.3. I dunno why it has this problem. Does anyone else have a solution this minor problem. I've already uninstalled WC3 and reinstalled it. The problem still persists.
