iPhone 3G Keyboard Crash

I used PwnageTool to jailbreak my iPhone 3G a couple of days ago, and now when I use the 'U' key on my keyboard, the application crashes. It also does not matter which keyboard that I use - It happens on English and Japanese, on both the QWERTY and Kana keyboards. Do I need to restore my phone, or is there a fix out there?

I doubt there is a specific fix for that problem. I would restore and rejailbreak.

Had a similar problem with the Japanese keyboard typing き　or せ　I looked everywhere and couldn't find an answer, tried various things, I was just about to re-jailbreak my fone when I typed す　and I got a huge string of characters in the popup for suggested words. Ahhh....there was my problem. I then reset the keyboard in settings and no problems anymore
