Thought that I might as well post pictures.

Yes, I need to make my bed, lol. The room may look like a complete mess, but the desk is ALWAYS clean, nothing except my computer equipment is on my desk.

How is the PB holding up with Leopard?

Pretty well, faster than when Tiger was on it. When I upgrade the RAM and Hard drive, it should be better.

I wouldn't use Flickr, Make a account on photobucket.com and upload the photos there, then copy the image codes and copy them into your post.

Thought id post my new imac and desk. Its a 21.5inch 3ghz c2d with 4gb and 500gb hd. Bought it used with about 300,000 won discount (around 250 dollars). Kinda annoying though that the keyboard has only english characters. I need korean characters too, but at least i saved money.
Sitting next to it is my monster pc. Core i7 920,4gb,3tb,gtx260. Next paycheck will contribute a radeon 5870 and some cooling controls cos right now it sounds like a wind tunnel.
On the other arm of the desk is my soon to be sold macbook. Its a 1st gen unibody with base specs.
Under the desk is a Samsung CLX216 colour laser printer. I kinda proud of the wire managment, dont have a single wire trailing on the floor. Even have a 500gb timecapsule attached to the mesh backing of the desk.

In the living room i finally got my Kef 3005se speakers in the post yesterday. Got it connected to a 42 inch lcd via hdmi and a Marantz 8002 amp, with a 2ghz geforce9400 mac mini as the HTPC.
That sits next to xbox, wii and ps3. The xbox got banned only last week. Damnit!
On the table is my macbook air that i bought a last week, hence the sale of the fatbook you can see in my office. Its a second gen 1.6ghz,120gb model.
Just waiting on my new tv to arrive before fixing up the living room properly and putting the speakers on the wall. Bought a 47inch led tv, but got another 5 days lead time to wait :(

I know some of us seem to have too many macs, but i've working for a long time and i earnt them :) Besides, i always buy used and sell them every 6 months or so. In korea, macs keep the value so well that every time i upgrade i havent actually made a loss on the old one. The 21inch imac is scheduled for sale as soon as they fix the 27" screens so there are no issues and im hoping for something beefier than the 4850 that the current lineup has.
Will probably update next week when i have my setups finalised. Got some office accessories in the post

Its actually two of them hacked together, one side just has the Macbook (as you can see) and the other side has the keyboard tray and the external monitor

I'm glad you like it! :)

I have that desk :)

What do you do with your mouse? I'm using a laser mouse and it doesn't work on the desk

Naturally, whacking off does occur. But im a nose picker too, lol
As for my wall panels, its just wall paper. Looks horrible in person.

Also, attaching time capsule is easy. I removed the bottom rubber section. Then i unscrewed the bottom panel and threaded some wire around it and tied it on. The whole mesh section is covered in psus and cables. Bare in mind im running a desktop pc, speakers, printer, usb hub, keyboard and mouse with wires. I hid all of it along with 2 plug strips.
For the wire i used a stripped ethernet cable. The single wires inside make perfect wraps

Even though this poster doesn't have two there are several ways to do it.

You can get a product like the DualHead2Go & TripleHead2Go (http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/) or get a USB video card like this one (http://newertech.com/products/viddu2dvia.php).

Hey guys, it seems to be a trend people making their first post in these sort of threads, but I just had to join in the fun. I'm a nosy person as it is, but when you throw beautiful Apple gear into the mix, I can't NOT look at how everyone else has their set-up! :p

Just took these this evening. Had a tidy up of my desk which consisted of stuffing my HP Desktop PC - that hadn't been used since the purchase of the MBP at the start of December - in my wardrobe (closet, for the American viewers!) 'cause I simply have no need for it what-so-ever. The result? A much cleaner set-up & more room for my long legs beneath my desk!!

http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/682/66632717.png http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/7335/dsci0069.jpg
http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8615/dsci0070.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/7800/dsci0068c.jpg

In the setup;
Refurb 2.53GHz 15" MBP (June 09).
HP w2007v 20" LCD Monitor (Mini Display Port > VGA adapter).
Logitech Z4 2.1 Speaker System.
MacFormat: Feb 2010 Issue (my favourite Mac mag).
Technika 22" HD TV.
XBox 360 ("Premium" w/20GB HDD, via HDMI to HD TV).
Laptop Bag (under desk, was an Xmas present from my Uncle).

-- On pull-out keyboard shelf --
iPod Touch 2G 32GB.
iomega 250GB External (Desktop) HDD.

Not pictured: 500GB Western Digital My Passport Essential External HDD (Somewhere in the US being fixed/replaced after dying only 2 weeks after being purchased ).

I'm eventually going to bin off this desk & get one of the v.popular Mikael ones from IKEA. I'm just waiting on some cash so I can buy the Bluetooth Keyboard & Magic Mouse and possibly an X-Stand for my MBP. Then (besides the desk) my setup will be 100% complete.

Yeah, the monitor certainly looks a lot better with my MBP than with my desktop, though :D

I bought the speakers about a week ago & the sound quality is great. I was meant to buy some much cheaper speakers, but they weren't anywhere to be seen when I went to buy 'em, so went for the more expensive ones & don't regret it! The bass from the sub is awesome and they sure do play pretty loud if you want 'em to!

The main reason I bought them is actually because I've seen them in a fair amount of Mac setups and thought they went with everything quite nicely.

Here's my set up. Nothing fancy but I enjoy it. I have the iMac in the corner to make room for the printer until I decide to buy a dedicated stand or bookshelf for it. The corner of the desk would work except that there is very little support there. I may decide to just buy some conduit from Home Depot to support it underneath, though.

I've enjoyed this thread, it's great seeing all the different set-ups.

My setup I really need to invest in a 24in cinema display.

I LOVE them. The drawer is from IKEA as well, whenever you go again go look at the desk and look at the sticker on the drawer, I don't remember the section it's in. I'm sure it's on their website.

finally got my new tv and speakers, here's my new set up as of now. Hoping to get a Mac Mini and use it as a HTPC connected to the Bravia. i don't really wanna be paying £510 or whatever Apple is charging, does anyone know what the absolute min specs i should be looking for in the mini for media playback? it's sole purpose will be to run plex and access to my ext. HDD connected to my iMac through the network, so i was hoping that i could get an older machine from ebay or somewhere to do the job.

here's what there is so far:
13" iBook g4
20" intel iMac 8,1
HP2009v 20" Monitor
1tb WD Ext. HDD (hidden behind iMac & HP monitor)
Xbox 360
HK Soundsticks ii
Bose Headphones
37" Sony Bravia LCD
iPod Dock

Im not sure if i've posted this before...probably have but here's an update; now with BT KB...im such an Apple-whore. Very happy with this setup thus far, next upgrade will be an SSD drive.

Speaking of SSDs i'm surprised very little was mentioned at CES...was expecting larger capacities/cheaper pricing.

PS-its not usually this clean

Hi!
They“re not actually powered by USB, they have their own power-adaptor.
You can find them at IKEA, they are called "Dioder".

It“s a shame that they are so much more expensive here in Sweden.. :-/

Best regards,
Andreas

At one point TIMG was required...

What happened to those days?

idk but I don't think it should be required...just scroll. It's no big deal either way imho...I never have a problem regardless of what machine I'm using.

I mean I view it in a fairly large window. It does slow down Safari a tad, not in this instance particularly - but when a lot of users do it repetitively, etc...

I like yours as well. ;) However, your desk seems higher.. it could be that I set my table higher than yours - there is no way a 27" iMac would fit on my desk at the height the table is right now without removing the bottom shelf.

It went to the same place where "being a demi-god meant something" went
