i've read in numerous locations that to make call of duty widescreen on a mac you open the console and type in
seta r_customwidth 1680
seta r_customheight 1050
seta r_mode-1
vid_restart
i'm using a 17" powerbook (don't know if that affects the dimensions to type in). whenever i do this, and press enter, the screen restarts, but when it shows again its not widescreen, its the same size. did i type this in right? does anyone know how to make it work?

You're doing it right but your powerbook does not support 1680 by 1050 resolution. It supports a max of 1440 by 900. If you want to run it at that then type in the same command with 1440 as your width and 900 as your height.
This is inadvisable, though, as the powerbook may get bogged down at 1440 by 900. I recommend a widescreen at 1024 by 720 for optimal performance.

I'm confused. What do fish have to do with it?
Sorry, someone slap me with a PAL format salmon, please.
