Poking around the Adobe CS4 website, I was looking at the system requirements for the Design Premium suite. Where it described how much disk space it took up, there was this note:

10.3GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional hard-disk space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on flash-based storage devices)

http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/design/systemreqs/?promoid=DRHWP

The bold and underline are mine. Does this mean that Adobe CS4 Design Premium cannot be installed on a Solid State Drive, or is that just warning that it cannot be installed on USB flash drives, etc.?

I think they mean flash-based USB storage devices. Cs4 works fine off of my SSD.

CS4 smokes on my Intel SSD. Should run just fine.

I think they mean flash-based USB storage devices.

Lucid's thinking is probably right on the money here, and I think Adobe should really update those requirements to be more clear.

I was wondering about this as well, I figured it was not compatible with thumb drives.
