BestBuy has since closed the link (for obvious reasons), but if you do a search for the SKU and the word ipod together, you will find this:

The first two hits are for iPod 3rd Gen cases, SPECIFICALLY compatible with 3rd Gen.

Granted, most of us figured a new iPod Touch was forthcoming, but hey, a little assurance never hurt, right?

No sense in getting snippy, Golden =) I was just happy to see an actual SKU listing which confirms what are, until now, just rumors. As I said, it's pretty certain that a new Touch is going to be announced tomorrow, but how can you ever be 100% sure, outside of Apple confirming it tomorrow?

Just thought it was neat, is all.

Third party manufacturers have shown cases with a new design/holes for camera for ages.

And technically the page just said the case was 'coming soon', and since we know there will be a 3rd gen sometime in the next decade it's not really news.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I called two Best Buy stores. One told me they didn't know when they would get the new ipod touches. And the other said November!! That's two months from now, which seems a bit ridiculous
