I just read that upgrading to 3.1 may permanently render my 3GS unjailbreak-able... Is this true? I just upgraded D:

Not un-jailbreakable but unlockable because of baseband update

Seems most of these guys dont want to read, they just want to rush to update.
I am waiting for a list of things that are new before i even consider it because i have 3.0.1 and my phone is running great. Battery life is good too. If it isnt going to change much, screw it, i wont update.

Untrue and I certainly don't claim to know everything.
Most of what I do know I learned from reading.
The notion of waiting just a breath or two before updating has been in the forefront for several years now is kind of a major concept to miss ??

You have and I ask anyone who is wondering to search your posts. Most of them have been laced with snarky comments.
People just want the newest and greatest. And they have questions. Don't expect everyone to know that 3.1 will stop jailbreaking on 3gs or almost all iphones from here on out. You just can't expect that of everyone.
I'm sure the Dev Team will eventually release some sort of a fix for it. It's just a matter of time.

if it became unjailbreakable some one would make something cause sooner or later apple will start selling the iphones with 3.1 already installed (i guess)...
