Can anyone recommend the best way of cleaning the metal and the screen on a powerbook...?
Cheers,

There's a lot of cleaners out there for the screen that you can buy, but I find that a soft towel that's damp can do the same job. As far as the metal, I guess it matters whether it's aluminum or titanium, but I'm not really sure

i just use a damp cloth with water (distilled so the minerals dont build up)

...a tiny drop of fairy liquid on a damp cloth (if scruffy). Then I wipe off with damp cloth twice and a final wipe with dry kleenex. Itīs a nice little ritual that gives you and your ībook time to really bond.
I guess you could also use Vodka or some other clean spirit but I havenīt tried that. The wipes you buy are spirit based, I think.

BAD IDEA!! I've done it to a portable CD player and the thing was ruined. It eats away at the metal surface....

i got some monster iclean from the apple website it has 2 bottles and a microfiber cloth... it is imho top notch... the microfiber cloth gets dust and dirt of and if its a bit more stubborn then use a little spry...
and wash your grubby mitts before typing lol
