iPod touch Could the new 32/64gb be the ipod 2,2?

I remember seeing ipod 2,2 in this photo and i'm wondering if the new 32gb and 64gb could be it and maybe 3,1 is still not out yet?

Possibly.

Some people are calling this the 2.5 Gen touch.

i call it the MTV's "pimp my ride" ipod touch 2G😀

it's been pimped!!

i would not call it 3G!!!! at all!!!!!!!

even the 8GB that the online apple store is selling, is just an updated version with a 3.1 OS!

only the 32 and 64GB are 50% faster, but that is it.......😱

I would think the iPod 2,2 is the 8GB model. Apple probably regards the 32/64GB versions as new enough to be 3,1.
