As the title suggests i'm not a fan of the Funnest iPod Ever slogan.
Funnest isn't even a real word!!

Its marketing.
TUAW had a good article (http://www.tuaw.com/2008/09/12/grammar-girl-covers-the-funnest-ipod-ever/) about this.

Funnest is an awful word. If i heard someone describe the touch as that id give them a swift kick in the family jewels lol. Reminds me of a 1960s advert.
" Aww gee dad thanks for getting me an ipod Touch, its the funnest ipod ever!! Its swell!! " :p

Apple's marketing department is famous for not following grammatical rules. "Think different," anyone?

whether its grammatically correct doesn't bother me one way or the other, it is after all advertising/marketing, and part of its kitsch.
what does bother me however is that it sounds stupid and contrived as if Apple were trying way too hard. so i agree with the OP
