View Full Version : What to do if you see Spam on Mac Rumors

With all the new users coming in daily here on Mac Rumors, there is always the change of spam. It has happened before, but today there were multiple spam threads.

If you ever see a long post (with emails and asking to buy), BUY SOMETHING in the title or something that just looks like spam, use the report button (see screenshot below) located on the left column of every post (at bottom).

In the text box, type something like: "Spam. Please remove thread and ban user. Thanks" or similar. This allows the Moderators to see that it is spam, remove the thread and then ban the user so it would not happen again.

Once again, to keep Mac Rumors "clean of spam", we all have to try and do this when seeing spam. As always, if you see something inappropriate or anything else against forum rules, please use the report button. Thanks for reading.

Thanks celticpride678, for showing others how to help out.
I have been doing this for a while now, and hopefully others will do the same.:)
Cheers.

Or, you could just simply click the Report Post link without posting in the thread, and adding to it. ;)
