Hey, I have a MacBook Late '08 and thought about to bye a new HD... 500G
Does my MacBook allow such a high size? Can I use it?
What about this one (german) http://geizhals.at/a388980.html
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 G-Force 500GB, SATA II • 7200rpm • 16MB Cache • 11ms • G-Force Protection for less than 100 euros

The Seagate Momentus 7200.4 is fine but I'd get the one without the G-Force protection because your MacBook already has SMS (sudden motion sensor) built in and the 2 protections have been known to cause conflicts if used together.
Taken from an article that I Googled:
Note that there are two versions of the Momentus 7200.4; one of them has “G-force protection” (ST9500420ASG). Mac laptops already have this feature built-in, so it’s not necessary to get the “G” version, the regular one (ST9500420AS) is just fine.

That appears to be the one according to the model number. The rest of the information is auf Deutsch and I'm a little rusty.
