So I am brand new to the world of running dual displays, coming from a single 30" Cinema display for the past couple of years. I purchased the (2) 24" LED displays refurbished from Apple and hooked them up yesterday to my 2009 Mac Pro.
One of the displays is connected via the stock NVIDIA GT 120 card and the other via the upgraded ATi Radeon HD 4870. Given that I am a not a professional photographer and don't have a keen eye for significant detail, it seem abundantly clear that one display is a lot "brighter" than the other.
I have adjusted the settings on both, moving the brightness levels to comparable positions and the two do NOT appear alligned in terms of brightness. The calibration profile is set to the same for both, and I have switched the connections to make sure that this is not an issue caused by the graphics cards.
Am I missing something or going about this the wrong way, or does it sounds like maybe a bad monitor? What are my next steps to try and diagnose?
Thanks
