Quicktime X codec support

im running snow leopard do any of you guys know how to run other codecs on quicktime x , will perian work with it?

You should still be able to play all the old files you could with Perian-supported Quicktime 7. Quicktime X is still capable of accessing the older QT7 codec library when it comes across a file it can't play.
