Security Issue with Wifi?- SPYKEE "Device"

I attempted to do my first post here but I inadvertently hit a function key and apparently deleted it. I will try again.

My Airport menu is normally divided into a list of wifi networks in my local area followed by options such as "Join another network..." I just noticed that there is another division there that says "Devices". Under the word "Devices" (which is grayed out), there is an apparent device entitled "SPYKEEnnnnnnnnnn, where the string of n's denotes a 10-digit number.

Is this associated with some type of keylogging application related to the Mac or other insidious piece of code? I have my preferences set to things like stealth mode, firewall logging, etc. but perhaps that is not enough.

If it is a problem, what should I do to eradicate it? This appears also on another computer that we have.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I think that this section shows "ad-hoc" wifi devices (as opposed to access points). So this would mean that somewhere in your near neighborhood is this Spyee device. So there is nothing to worry about.

Thanks very much for your responses. One of my neighbors must have a SPYKEE robot and it is showing up on a list of available devices. At least this is better than having a keylogger installed surreptitiously on my machine.

you're welcome. It's for sure not a keylogger. If you had one, you wouldn't probably know it :)
