Broadband

Has anybody had any problems with their broadband since loading SL?
My imac is running like a clapped out old pc and it appears to be since I loaded SL.
I thought at 1st it was my IP and have made such a stink with them that they are sending somebody to check my lines on Monday.
I have since tried an old laptop and it appears to be hitting downloads of over 6M as quoted by my IP. I am only hitting 280K on the mac. HELP!!

Did you do upgrade or clean install? Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit kernel?

Did an upgrade, but as for the other question? I just put the disk in and let it do the business.(not that technically minded)Help/advice would be appreciated.

Okay so you're using 32-bit kernel. I would do a clean install (boot from SL disc and select Disk Utility from top bar and erase the HD -> Install SL) that would rule out all software glitches. If that doesn't help, install Leopard
