Mpeg 2 quicktime X

Hi guys,

Has anyone downloaded the mpeg 2 codec that you have to purchase from apple to play them and successfully got it to play them under quicktime X and not QT7?

What I'm trying to say is I don't want to have to install QT7 aswell to get the codec working? Is it compatible with snow leopard just using QT X?

Read the quicktime 7 / quicktime x articles.

You need QT7 at this time.
