Import DVD Clip into iMovie 09

I am fairly new to working with iMovie 09 (and iMovie in general), and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to import a movie clip from a dvd into iMovie 09. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm going to assume this is a non-copyright protected DVD ;)

Rip the DVD using Mac the Ripper or RipIt and find the vob file that contains the clip you want. Use MPEG Streamclip to convert the vob to DV. Import the DV clip into iMovie.

For some reason iMovie was not recognizing the Handbrake file. It may simply be a function of incorrect settings.
