Hello all,I have a quick question,my iMac G3,233 Mhz PPC 160MB RAM 4GB HD is one of the first iMacs ever made I believe. Here's why I think this:for one the date on my iMac when it was built is 2 weeks before the very first iMac was introduced at Macworld. And 2 months before they were first shipped. Now I was working on it earlier and I found in my Apple systems profiler it says my System ID is 406,does that mean I have the 406th one ever made???

Quick answer: NO.
Many of the late PCI PPC Macs had a SystemID of 406. A hang-over from the old system ID that Apple replaced. Backwards compatibility for some software packages used that to simply identify a PCI based PPC.
I'm sure there are quite a few iMac 233's with an August-September build date in the serial number. I have 2 here, but I class them as more collectible than an early 1999 build.
