Core Image is an API for processing images. You won't perceive a difference in a file just looking at it. The beauty is in the action. Real time to be exact.

If you have Tiger to play with install the developer tools and look in Examples->Quartz Compositor to see some examples. You can of course use the Quartz Compositor app to play with core image yourself.

On my eMac, Dasbhoard does not have the ripple effect which led me to believe that my graphics card does not support Core Image/Video.

If that is true, would I be able to use Quartz Compositor and see some Core examples. Just want to find out before I install dev tools so I don't waste my time. Thx.
