Downgrade 3.1 to 3.0?

My new iPod came with 3.1 and I want to go to 3.0 is there any way to do this? Thanks

I think the same holds true for all Apple devices: you cannot downgrade the OS or firmware to a prior version than what it came with. Apple computers which are sold with 10.5.6 cannot boot to a 10.4 disc for example. This is more than likely because the prior version does not have any markers or drivers for the hardware in the newer device.
