Does anyone here have a Lacie monitor? I'm planning on getting the 19" CRT Lacie Electronblue IV for my graphic design needs. Has anyone used one before? Is it anygood?

Thanks.

the lacie crt are at least top 3 for best crt ever. I have never owned one but I have used the 19" they make many times in a couple different places. I have a viewsonic P95f+b 19" aperture grille (trinitron) on my G5 and its very close to the quality of a lacie and costs about half as much. viewsonic make great stuff and i'm sure some people here can back that up. good warrantee and has a max res of 2048x1536.

here is a direct link if you want to see it (http://viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/crtmonitors/proseries/p95fplusb/)

We use the 22" versions at work.

They're fine and have lasted quite a while without noticeable image changes, although I find them a bit subdued even with the correct profile and calibrated... I have a hood on mine.

If the Lacie monitor is one of the top 3 CRT monitors, what are the other 2? How much did the Viewsonic P95f+b 19" cost you? The Lacie Electronblue IV sells for $569 CDN here in Toronto.

BlueandWhiteman is your viewsonic monitor the same as the P95f+?

Some of the reviews on cnet claims that it gets blurry when it's being used at high resolutions http://reviews.cnet.com/ViewSonic_P_95f_/4505-3175_7-4837348.html?tag=pdtl-list

mine has no issues like that at all. this model has been around for a couple years so maybe mine is a newer revision and was made better. I bought mine new about 5 months ago. i'm very picky about monitor screen quality and this monitor easily keeps me happy. I run it at 1792x1344 and 1920x1440 and everything is crisp as can be. its their 19" offering in their pro lineup.

i'm just trying to help you out by showing you there are alternatives that are close to or almost equal to the lacie in quality but cost 200+ less. sony is kind of like lacie in the way they make great monitors but you pay through the nose for them. the 200 you save could buy you a big hd or go toward something else.

the p95f+b retails for around 350-375 canadian
