All this Jailbreaking stuff is confusing

Hey all,

I've read all the blogs (blog.iphone-dev) macrumors and other sites. And I'm still confused about this 3.1 software. it's clear to me that if you have a 3Gs and you updated your screwed...what about us people who still have the first gen iPhone with 3.1. Last I read/heard there is still no jailbreak out. Has this changed?

There is no Jailbrake for 3.1 for ANY device as of today

A warning has been given to 3gs owners like myself to NOT update to the Official Apple 3.1 software if you want to UNLOCK your iphone in the future

However, it appears that all these devices 1st gen, 3g, 3gs, ipod touch 1st gen etc Have not problem at being Jailbroken. The tools to Jailbrake should be out soon.

The UNLOCK tools should take a while, I guess
