I don't know anything about programming for the iPhone but I wish I did let alone hacking. But here are ideas/questions...
On Apple's site there is something called the iPhone Configuration File utility. It seems as though with this you can build profiles like ipcc files or mobileconfig files to upload to the phone. Can't one of these be modified to somehow allow tethering?
In one of the forums, I found a mobileconfig file that I opened using this utility and in there are settings for mms and apn. Anyone figure this out??
