When using the timeshift feature (recording live tv) the analog signal is pixelated. I tried setting gpu to the 9600gt but I don't think it even uses gpu decoded. I really didn't think that the 2.8 would have any problems at doing anything cpu related.

Should my mbp be able to handle it easily or is it really a struggle. Also, is there a way I can check to see if the cpu is stressing itself? I'm using snow leapord so istat menus doesn't work anymore. I'm running it on an external monitor if that matters. Could it be the signal strength?
